Michael DeForge’s “Beautopia” Concept Art

A cartoon series must be doing something right when it’s fortunate enough to employ the boss talents of an artist like Michael DeForge, a guy about whom Comics Alliance stated earlier this year, “To examine DeForge’s work is to examine the best of an entire world – to tour the various iterations of modern art-comix in the path of an expert, massively entertaining trailblazer who by all indications is just getting started.” Though there are more where this came from (i.e. Michael DeForge), you’ll need the weekend to soak in this bit of his concept art from “Beautopia.”
